Differentiation Activity

Take a standard number cube and make the one a seven.  Students place ten counters on their own number chart.  They roll the dice and determine if the number rolled is a factor of a number that is covered.  If it is, the student can remove the counter.  If they have more than one, they can only remove one counter at a time.  The first student to remove all their counters is the winner!

Differentiation Activity

Students will split up a Hundreds Chart in however many are in their group.  They then will cut out numbers and take turns placing them in the correct column on the Prime/Composite chart.

Differentiation Activity/Fundamentals Game

Students draw a card from two separate piles and find the product of the numbers.  They might have to find factors of the larger number in order to multiply more friendly numbers.

Perfect Pairs

Students pick cards from three different stacks and mentally multiply them.  They must "think aloud" to explain their thinking of why they chose to multiply those numbers in that order.
