Equivalent Fraction War with Playing Cards

Differentiation Activity
Modules 4 and 9

Students will draw out of a deck of cards (A=1, Face Cards = 10) and make a fraction.  They can make a common fraction to begin with and move to improper fractions as they continue.  They decide who has the larger fraction and the winner keeps the cards.

Differentiation Activity

Students will shade squares to show different fractions.  After they cut out the cards, they can either use them to order from least to greatest or they can play a mix and match game of memory.
